Featured Animal #1

 Green Tree Python    (Morelia viridis)

Additional Info:    ID#10315 (Biak local) Feeding on f/t rat pups

Brief Care Notes:   This species of python is primarily arboreal and spends most of its time in trees, as its name implies. Green trees are becoming very popular in the trade as display animals due to their wide range of color schemes . They do very well in captivity when provided with proper humidity, lots of branches coil on and nice greenery to hide in.

Featured Animal #2

Solomon Island Tree Boa     (Candoia bibroni australis)

Additional Info:    ID#10312 Feeding on small geckos and anoles

Brief Care Notes:   The Solomon Island species is the largest of all Candoia genus and is one of the most arboreal as well. In captivity they require a constant humidity of at least 50 – 70% and a large water bowl to soak in. This species does not eat rodents and feeds on small lizard species like house geckos and anoles.

Featured Animal #3

Amazon Tree Boa    (Corallus hortulanus)

Additional Info:    ID#10300 Feeding on f/t small mice

Brief Care Notes:  The Amazon Tree Boa grows to be 4.5 to 6.5 feet long and is a slender bodied snake like most tree dwelling species. They are primarily a bit aggressive and should be handled with a snake hook. Although being moderately aggressive they do make great display animals with a nice live planted enclosure a fogger or misting system to keep up the humidity.

All of the animals above need lots of love and care but also have many different products that can be used to help care for them. Here is a featured product that all three of the above animals can use.

Feature Product

Exo Terra Tropical Fogger      $35.99

The tropical fogger, which provides tropical terrariums with a continuous supply of moisture, is ideal for reptiles, amphibians and plants with high humidity requirements.
